Hi! My name is JC Marie Smith. I am a Filipino-Alaskan professional photographer. Being born and raised in Ketchikan, Alaska means being by amazing landscapes and rich cultural heritage.

The breathtaking views and vibrant community of Ketchikan have always inspired me to capture and preserve life’s beautiful moments. Life took an exciting turn when I met my husband, a dedicated member of the military. As a military spouse, I’ve had the privilege of experiencing different places and communities, which has expanded my perspective and enriched my life in countless ways.

The resilience and adaptability required in this crazy lifestyle have shaped me into who I am today. I’m also a proud mom of two energetic and adventurous boys. They are the light of my life and my constant source of inspiration. Through them, I’ve learned to see the world with fresh eyes and to cherish every moment. My boys have taught me the importance of capturing those everyday memories that we often take for granted but mean so much in the long run.

Today, I am an Alaska girl turned small-town Wisconite who swapped rain boots for cheese curds but kept her camera in her hand. I am on a mission to help folks in Wisconsin freeze their favorite memories-minus the frostbite.
